A brief history
My name is Krisztina Csetvei and I was born on January 8, 1983 in a small town near Subotica (Bácstopolya). I spent my childhood in Budapest, then as a teenager I moved to Szentendre with my family (Mother-Father-Tesó and Néró, the dog family member), then came high school, university (BME-GTK), internship, work-work, LIFE with a capital letter and I found myself in Budapest again .
With us, there was no question that I would continue my studies at the Technical University, it was also certain that I was more interested in economic subjects, marketing and management... (not really the excellent subjects of networks and systems or chemical industry operations). In the fourth year, we were given a project assignment - which already helped us prepare for the thesis. Then I could stand at home with wide-eyed alarm, because one of my mother's best friends helped show me the way the next day. Do you like wines? he asked fearfully. The answer was clear to me. I like good wine, people, I like to learn, and that's how I applied as a marketing intern at Béres Vineyard and Winery, which had recently started and was being built and improved. I came under the hands of sales manager Gergely Orbán (currently Borbán Winery) and just watched, learned, tried... and then as a Christmas present I received a WSET basic level course from the Béres family to the Wine College led by Gabriella Mészáros and Gábor Rohály. (At that time we wrote 2006.) I was the happiest, the proudest and the most! I successfully completed the course, then I started tasting wine at home, collecting beautiful labels (afterwards I smile big at these labels...), paying attention to food and wine pairings.
Life was unpredictable and three years of detours followed. I ended up in the marketing department of a large company, in a huge, foreign world where I wanted to stand my ground and I feel that I succeeded. I learned a lot, made many good friends, completed the BME MBA postgraduate course. And in my spare time I went to wine tastings...
