If you're looking for a red wine that perfectly captures the character of Lake Balaton, look no further than Kékfrankos. The fact that this grape variety, like Olaszrizling, is able to show its terroir characteristics as well as its own flavours plays a big part in this. We have bottled a rich, fruity Kékfrankos with a moderate alcohol content, light body and short barrel ageing.
One of our secret favourites. It's not a secret because we hide it, but because it's a lesser known fragrant grape variety in this country. But as the most beautiful Alsatian examples have long shown, Traminer can yield wines of great elegance. If you are looking for a unique alternative to a dry yellow Muscat or an Irsai, you have found it.
One of the reasons why we love Olaszrizling is because it is great at conveying the uniqueness of the Balaton terroir. That's why our vineyard-selected Olaszrizling, which comes from the Hajnóczy vineyard on the outskirts of Paloznak, is so important to us. What makes the wine even more special is that our Olaszrizling vineyard is located on a plot with an extremely high lime content, where the vines themselves limit their yield. Tip: a good match for poultry or pork roasts.
If you had to represent Lake Balaton with just one wine, it’s got to be Olaszrizling. We work with the grape variety in several areas, we have plantations in the Hajnóczy and Szil vineyards, because we believe that the soil structure of the vineyards on the border of Csopak and Paloznak adds a distinct and characteristic terroir note to the aromas and flavours of the variety.
One of the most popular wines from our winery. Year after year it shows what is most important to us in the production of our wines: pure fruit aromas, which is of course one of the strengths of Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes come from the Vörös-Mál vineyard in Aszófő and the juice is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
Summer in a bottle. And we love to enjoy summer all year round. Schillers give deeper fruit flavours than rosés, but more lightness and elegance than reds. We think these qualities are among the strengths of Kékfrankos, so we make our Schiller with this grape variety.
