Growing Conditions
The Vörös Förtés vineyard is located in the northern part of the Mór wine region, next to Árkipuszta, on the western slopes of Vértes. Better known by its former name, the Szakcsoport :) Thanks to our autumn plantings in 2016, we were able to harvest our zenith grapes from here in 2020, including the Kékfrankos and Merlot. The young plantation is located directly under the forest, on the top of the hillside, in good exposure, on more compact, stony soil in many places, trusting that the production site can show what quality it is capable of after 35 years of mass production.
Winemaking
Wine made from grapes harvested in early September 2020, in technological maturation. This wine is made exclusively from mechanically harvested bunches, with the grapes being processed gently. We made the variety in several styles, and the one we liked the most ended up in the bottles.
Food Pairing
Better on its own than as a spritzer. A serious, full-bodied wine that can also be paired well with gastronomy.
