Nose

A discreet, floral aroma.

Palate

Pleasantly acidic and fresh, reminiscent of grape sugar. It is a popular ingredient for light summer wine.

When tasting it, you can feel the fruitiness, which is perhaps best compared to the taste of the Princess's Daughter grape itself. In the taste, we can feel the lively acids, which give the wine a good backbone, as well as the characteristics of the variety and the wine region.

Growing Conditions

Our Királyleányka plantation is located on the Kecskehegy plateau in Mór, with a slight southwest exposure. The name of the area can be derived from the fact that at first there was no viticulture here, but goat herders grazed their animals here. Later, with the boom in viticulture, the vines quickly found a home here. The varied, slightly compacted soil of the mountain, the sunlight that surrounds the plantation can provide very good quality, and thanks to its high location, it is a place well protected from frost.

Winemaking

A Hungarian variety belonging to the group of Hungaricums, presumably resulting from the natural crossing of Kövérszőlő and Leányka. It has been planted in Hungary since the 1970s, and can be found in many of our wine regions, including the Mór wine region, and is even a typical variety.

A mid-late ripening variety (end of September), with large fruit, smaller clusters, and thin-skinned berries. Its flesh is soft, soupy, with a melting, indifferent taste.

In mid-September 2020, we harvested our royal daughter, partly by machine and partly by hand. After the quick pressing, the clarified must was transferred to the fermentation tanks, where it fermented under reductive conditions. It was bottled using exclusively tank technology, preserving its freshness and crispness.

Appearance

A light-colored, light wine.

Food Pairing

We recommend drinking it well chilled, at 10-12 C. Neat, or even prepared as a pleasant spritz. Not a "thoughtful" wine, it can be a really good companion for a spring or summer evening. In gastronomy, we would dare to recommend it with salads and white fish.
