Ezerjó is a historical Hungarian grape variety, a hungaricum, whose cultivation dates back to ancient times in Ászár. It was one of the favorite varieties of the wine region, as the wine made from Ezerjó had a good shelf life thanks to its pronounced acids. In our village, it is called “Cilifánt”, and we use it in keeping with this tradition.
Also known as Pinot Gris or Pino Grigio, is the main variety and flagship wine of the Ászári region.
