Nose

Sour cherry, dark chocolate, tiny bit of almond, and many marks of scorching are mixed in its velvety fragrance.

Palate

In the mouth it is a real, zestful "kékfrankos", with many beautfil acidity, sour-cherry, with elegance and easiness. It is also a balanced red wine. The mature sour-cherry dominates in its long finish, with a pinch of spicy paprika.

Growing Conditions

Blaufränkisch is one of the earliest-flowering blue grapes, its young buds are most exposed to the risk of freezing, yet it is an extremely hardy variety. The thick skin of its berries reinforces this characteristic. It ripens medium-late, at the end of September, is abundantly productive, and is not prone to rot.

The climate of the wine region and especially the terroir of Hajós are ideal for Kékfrankos wines.
