Winemaking

Evans Victoria joined the winery in October 2020 as an external professional consultant. She contributes to shaping the winery's image and other activities related to wine tourism. Improving the quality of gastronomy, winemaking, hospitality, tourism and wine tourism-related activities is a never-ending process at our winery. Victoria is actively involved in these issues as well as in the certification of the wines produced.

The idea for Koch&Evans wines dates back more than a year. The selection of the first grape varieties for the project was based on a joint decision.

Victoria is also a Californian, so Chardonnay is the closest white wine to her heart. For the same reason, the red wine was originally going to be Cabernet Sauvignon, but while tasting the barrel batches, both Csaba and Victoria's attention shifted towards the Cabernet Francs from Villány .

The Chardonnay base wine is the fruit of Csaba's handiwork, and Victoria was involved in the creation of the finished batch during the blending stage.

Both wines were created as a result of many months of tasting and blending countless barrel and wine samples.
