Nose
This wine has a very distinct fruity character with notes of pear jam, mango, apricot, candied lemon and orange peel.
Palate
All this is accompanied by coconut and caramel notes, thanks to 26 months of oak barrel ageing. The oily, velvety texture harmonises well with the outstanding acidity.
Growing Conditions
The 2017 vintage was a classic Tokaj vintage. Due to the short drop in temperatures in early September.
Bottling
August 2020
Winemaking
The ageing process started a little later and therefore a more elegant style of aszú was produced this year.
Aging
26 months in oak barrels
Food Pairing
A great pairing with foie gras pâté or marbled cheese. It can be a very special experience with Cuban cigars, where earthy flavours harmonise with sweet notes.
