A brief history
Our 3 rd generation winery is part of the Erdőbénye based Liget-family farm. Since the technological change in 2014, we have been experimenting with wild and wine yeasts. Our first commercialized dry, still wines were produced in 2016 and since 2019 grape juice and champagne have also been bottled.
As the engines of the winery, we are an architect couple with 2 sons, supported by the extended family. We can be found in a traditional stone house in Erdőbénye and in Miskolc on the Avas wine cellar row. White grapes are harvested in Bodrogkeresztúr’s Lapis and Erdőbénye’s Lepény vineyards.
Our wines are imprints of our family’s recent growth. In our supply you can find the vintage characteristics, different wine styles and technologies, as well as grape juice, dry furmint and hárslevelű, champagnes, late harvest and sweet furmint.
The triple of winery-architecture-nature mindset can be traced in our buildings too. We are continuously exploring and experimenting on the relationship of nature and man-made world, with a maturing and growing mentality.
