Nose
Néró 7.4 is a deep-colored, full-bodied wine that showcases the natural strength of the variety. Its high tannin content and alcohol level give it a bold character, while intense notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and spice unfold on the palate.
Growing Conditions
The Hungarian Néró grape was developed through the crossbreeding of Médoc Noir, Csabagyöngye, and Seyve-Villard varieties. Néró is particularly well adapted to climate change, as it tolerates heat well and requires minimal plant protection, making it a popular choice among sustainable wineries.
Harvest
Harvested in late August.
Winemaking
Controlled fermentation.
Aging
It was not aged in barrels; instead, it was matured for one month in a Flex Cube.
Food Pairing
With its high alcohol and tannin content and full-bodied structure, Néró 7.4 pairs best with grilled red meats, juicy steaks, spiced lamb, or game dishes. For a more adventurous pairing, try it with a caramelized onion burger, Parmesan-crusted eggplant, or a spicy tomato-based pasta dish, which will enhance the wine’s fruity and rich character. If you're looking for cheese pairings, opt for aged hard cheeses like Pecorino or Cheddar.
