Growing Conditions
It's a brutally hot, constant heatwave, extremely droughty year. As a result of the groundwater reserves accumulated in 2014 and the increasingly conscious work of our winemakers, excellent wines were produced, especially in the case of varieties with higher acidity, while the early varieties mostly produced simple, forgettable wines that age quickly.
Winemaking
Complex wine, tropical flavors, pineapple-mango-avocado-nut, integrated barrel aging. Pinot Blanc? White burgundy? Who likes it or knows it... The high lime content of the soil of Tényő Öreghegy makes it mineral and fruity. It owes its harmony and sweetness to fermentation and aging in 500-liter oak barrels.
Pinot Blanc, a member of the populous and popular pinot family, it is the sibling of the gray friend. It is most important in Alsace and Germany, but it can be found in many places around the world. It grows on 230 ha in Hungary, mainly in the Tolna region. It usually gives a light-medium-bodied wine with a nice acidity, often recognizable by its scent reminiscent of hazelnuts and hazelnut stalks. It is also often marketed as white burgundy, Weissburgunder.
