A brief history
The respect and love for the Badacsony landscape, grapes and wine determined our family's choice of profession. Gyula and Gabriella Borbély planted their first joint plantation in 1981 on an old family plot of land they received as a wedding gift, in Badacsonytomaj, not yet knowing at the time that they were laying the foundations of what would later become the center of the estate. The Borbély Family Winery was founded in 1996, based on a multi-generational family tradition of grape growing and winemaking, passed down from father to son.
