A brief history
I am Barbara Berecz-Jancev.
My mission is to show the beauty of our surroundings through my wines, where we live, where the wines are made. Everything that is on the wines is ourselves and the wonders of nature around us.
I live with my 3 children and my husband in Vácszentlászló, Pest County, on the shores of a beautiful lake. I work as a quality assurance engineer by profession, but winemaking is a hobby, a love for me.
It all started when we spent a weekend in Szépasszonyvölgy in 2020 and I decided there that I wanted to know more about wines, and not just about wines, but also how they are made. Finally, I applied to the Soós István Winemaking Technical and Vocational School and graduated from this wonderful and exciting profession. From there, there was no stopping.
As a winemaker who had already graduated in 2021, I immediately started my first year, excitedly waiting to see what it would be like to make my first small wines in our own small cellar.
It soon became clear that my goal was not to make a large amount of wine from one type of grape, but rather to color our everyday lives with a variety of smaller, but special wines, and only as much as we are able to make with our own hands, so I chose a different path: I would buy the grapes. In the first year, I found a fantastic quality vineyard in Nagyréde. I made my first experimental wines, 6 wines, exclusively by hand harvesting and from grapes selected by our own hands, which then became a huge success in our narrow circle of acquaintances, which confirmed that we should not stop there.
In 2022, I started the year with a more focused approach and made my first officially marketable wines, which I would like to introduce to more than just our narrow circle of acquaintances. We still have a lot of plans to implement, and I would be very happy if you would join us.
I look forward to any feedback, via any of the contact details on the site, and taste my wines, made with special care, attention and love. Every year I will try to surprise you with new products.
