Bakos Pincészet, Csobánc

A brief history

Its 3.5-hectare estate is located in the historical Badacsony Wine Region, in the Balaton Uplands National Park, on the southeastern side of the 376-meter-high, 3.42 million-year-old basalt extinct volcano, Csobánc Hill, halfway along the National Blue Tour route leading to Csobánc Castle. The first-class, 3.5-hectare area belonging to the Káptalantóti-Csobánc Hill Village in the Badacsony Wine Region is planted with the region's outstanding grape varieties. The center of Bakos Winery is the vaulted cellar and press house built in 1822 in the vineyard area, at number 17, Csobánc Hill.
