Growing Conditions

After the cold early summer, with single-digit Celsius temperatures, the hottest July in a century, a hot summer and a pleasant autumn tried to compensate the grape growers. Overall, this resulted in a promising vintage, where despite the extreme heat, the acids were typically well preserved.

Winemaking

An old Hungarian variety of unclear origin; it gets its name from the shape of its clusters. Once widespread throughout the country, it is now grown on only 180 hectares, primarily in Somló.
