A brief history

2HA Vineyard and Winery is a boutique winery located in the Badacsony wine region. Established with 2 hectares on the exceptional Mount St. George, on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, we now cultivate 4 hectares of organic vineyards. The modest size of our vineyard ensures that each vine is nurtured with special, personal care, enabling us to produce wines of the finest quality.

We are deeply convinced that these lands are uniquely suited for producing wines of the highest caliber. Our aim is simple: to create the best wines by any means necessary – everything else is secondary.

Our philosophy centers on the journey, not the destination. It’s about the endless pursuit of excellence and discovery, where every step matters more than the finish line.

All of our wines are aged exclusively in wooden barrels, with most fermenting in wood as well. Adhering to the principles of natural winemaking, we avoid techniques that might harm the wine’s original aromas. None of our wines – red or white – are fined or filtered. Even our white wines remain unfiltered. Bottling is carried out according to the lunar calendar, ensuring harmony with nature.

Our home, Mount St. George, is located within the protected "Balatonfelvidéki" National Park, a region renowned for its natural beauty and ecological significance.

The organic vineyard flourishes on this volcanic hill, where the base soil is a unique combination of volcanic heritage and "Pannon" marine deposits. This rare terroir contributes to the exceptional character of our wines. The mountain's diverse microclimates further enhance the complexity of the growing conditions. Protected from the northern winds, the south-facing slopes enjoy sub-Mediterranean characteristics, providing an ideal environment for cultivating premium grapes.
